Today's entry is going to center on a bible verse. I don't often write or speak about religion in a public forum. In fact, the only time I really bring up the fact that I am Christian is when a conversation leads to it naturally. However, today's verse/sermon is something I would like to reflect on.

As God's chosen ones, hold and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3: (didn't get the versus)

I love this idea of "clothing" yourself in compassion, kindness, humility, patience, and love (especially love). Regardless of what people believe or don't believe, I think we would all be much better off if we could learn how to do that. My resolution for the new year is to make a conscious effort to clothe myself in love and kindness. Viewing the world through that lens will hopefully help me to be a better teacher, friend, and person.
